Photography
Visual Poetry
I use photography as a medium to express the influences that shape my life: emotional, cultural, and aesthetic. I chose to showcase a range of photographs I have shot or directed because they reveal a more fluid and experimental side of my practice, in contrast to the more intentional and structured nature of my film work.
HIGHLIGHTS
I have selected a few of my favourite photoshoots to showcase here, but more of my work can be found on my Instagram via the icon link.
ETHEREAL BLOOM
NORFOLK ART AND DESIGN COMPETITION FINALIST
This photoshoot was part of my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), undertaken alongside my Creative Media Production course. For the project, I designed my own fashion garment from upcycled materials, while the additional garments worn by other models, including myself, were created during my experimentation phase. The shoot took place in my garden, using a three-point lighting setup against a flower bush backdrop. I submitted the garment and selected images to the Norfolk Art and Design Competition, run by Norwich University of the Arts, where I was chosen as a finalist and had my work exhibited.

STAG BEATLE
EXPERIMENTAL COLLABORATION
This photoshoot was a collaboration with Pip Ellen, a fellow student from my Creative Media course who practises makeup art, and photographer Joshua Barrett. I developed the concept around an amphibian–mermaid aesthetic and directed the makeup looks that Pip and I created on ourselves, using her kit and wigs. For the graphic eyeliner, I drew inspiration from the stag beetle featured on Massive Attack’s Mezzanine album cover.

ABANDONED CHURCH
GCSE ART PHOTOSHOOT
This photoshoot was created as part of my GCSE Art coursework, experimenting with multicoloured strobing LED lights and long shutter speeds to achieve a double-exposure effect. Shot in an abandoned church, the series explored the theme of “broken.”

2000s-INSPIRED SHOOT
MINI DIGITAL CAMERA SHOOT
This shoot was designed to emulate the trashy low-quality aesthetic of the early 2000s, using natural lighting and a casual setting. The looks were styled with a mix of pieces from my wardrobe and Lisa’s, complemented by her pink hair.

PAT MCGRATH-INSPIRED SHOOT
GCSE ART PHOTOSHOOT
Also produced as part of my GCSE “Broken” project, this photoshoot was inspired by makeup artist Pat McGrath and designer John Galliano. Set inside an empty wardrobe with artificial plants hanging down, it symbolises the lack of authenticity in today’s society and how we conform to restrictive labels to define our identity. The model’s hollow expression reflects how glamourised, polished lifestyles, curated only to appear perfect, can ultimately lead to a life that feels unfulfilling and detached from our true needs.

STEVEN KLEIN-INSPIRED SHOOT
GCSE ART PHOTOSHOOT
This photoshoot, set in Looses Antique Shop in Norwich, was inspired by the style and atmosphere of Steven Klein. Klein's signature style is described as provocative, subversive, and dark, characterised by high-contrast lighting, dramatic shadows, and a cinematic aesthetic that challenges conventional beauty and explores themes of power and identity.
